The dance floor is a microcosm of culture and society- a dynamic, ephemeral space constantly constructed and deconstructed through the movement of sound, bodies, and collective energy. My work challenges conventional notions of the dance floor, expanding it beyond sticky club floors and festival fields into more unconventional and conceptual spaces.

Through an exploration of rhythm and repetition, I investigate how the deep pulse of heavy bass line- so central to electronic dance music- can be captured and reinterpreted through sound and print. Using subwoofer vibrations, I transform sonic frequencies, allowing sound itself to shape the physicality of the work. Screen printing becomes a method of tracing not only sound but also movement- reflecting the trance-like, repetitive nature of the dance floor. The combination of print and sound underscores the symbiotic relationship between music, movement, and mark making. The unconscious patterns we create with our bodies while dancing are echoed through the process of printmaking, offering a new way to experience rhythm and its visual imprint.
