Considering space and shape, my practice oscillates between extremes of scale as expansive abstract automatic drawings meet cramped and claustrophobic figurative scenes. Formal and material concerns shape the work, found objects provide textured and imperfect surfaces onto which domestic scenes and inert bodies are confined with dreamlike quality. I am playing with the awkwardness or tension found in partnering these conflicting elements.
